What to do if I am denied the American Visa?

In the event that your visa is denied, you will receive a letter explaining the reason for this result. This card can be marked 214 (b) or 221 (g).

In this first case, it refers to the fact that you do not have the requirements to apply for the visa legally, under the immigration laws of the country. You can reapply for the visa, but you will have to do everything again, including paying the duty. Of course, in case you do the procedure again, the initial circumstances must change and you must prove it.

In the second case, you will be indicated a series of steps that you must follow in order to continue with the application process, and how to follow them. Don’t worry, you won’t have to pay the duty again.

They may also mark the letter in this way to tell you that you need to make another administrative process. This can certainly delay obtaining the permit, but if you follow the instructions you will be able to obtain it without having to go through the whole process again.

Sadly, the case of 214 (b) cannot be solved. You will also not be able to receive your money back. You have to start over. Consider very well what we said in the section on the Requirements for the American Visa
