What are the Requirements to Apply for COAR?

  • You should have completed your first two years of high school in a public educational institution of regular secondary education.

  • You have to have reached 15 years of age, at the latest until March 31 of the year in which you will apply to the admission process
  • Have a written authorization by parents or legal representatives.

On the other hand, there are two considerations that must be taken into account for this type of procedure, which are:

  1. If a student who meets these requirements declines to participate in the process, this does not qualify the next highest ranked student. That is, the quotas cannot be transferred or run on the list.
  2. If there is a tie between the students in the list of positions of their institutions, all those involved in the tie become part of the admission process.

How to Apply for COAR?

Registration by Parents or Representatives

In these cases, when the person in charge of registering are the parents or legal representatives, the steps to be followed are the following:

  • Parents or guardians must first ensure that their children meet the admission requirements.
  • If the children meet the requirements, the parents or guardians must enter the web platform of the COAR Single Admission Process, to enter your data and register the application.

UGEL Specialist Process

  • The name and address of the source IE.
  • The student code.
  • The sworn statements found on the institution’s website, signed by the parents or representatives.
  • Specify the High Performance College to which you are going to apply.
  1. Once the UGEL person receives the application, they must verify that the registration form is completed correctly.
  2. Finally, the person must register the applicant on the website of the Single Admission Process, to issue the certificate and deliver it to the person designated to register the applicant.

Admission process

In this section of the article we will talk about the second stage of the admission process, since the first stage -which deals with the application process- is mentioned in the previous paragraphs. First phase

On this occasion, a more personal, verbal and social evaluation will be applied to evaluate the socio-emotional abilities of the applicants. An experiential day (30 minutes) and an interview (20 minutes) will be used for the evaluations.

In the case of the experiential journey, the following aspects are being evaluated:

  • Creativity.
  • Assertive communication.
  • Active listening.
  • Proactivity.

In the case of the interview, The following aspects are being evaluated:

  • Motivation.
  • Coping with stress.
