  • Be the holder of a tax collection agency of the State or Federation in the municipality where you want to be elected, as well as a Judge or Court Clerk, without having resigned from the position at least 3 months before.
  • Actively serving in the National Army, and the same applies to those police officers and other members of the public security corps of said municipality. In order to run as a candidate, you must resign at least 3 months before the election.
  • Be a member of the electoral body with the right to vote. Like the previous requirement, the only exception that is made is if the person retired from this position at least 6 months before the elections.
  • To be a Citizen Counselor of the CNDH, unless the position has been resigned with (at least) 3 months previously, as well as Secretary in some Power of the State.
  • Public servants will also not be able to run for president in the municipality in which they work and were born, but it is by retiring from the position at least 3 months before.
