How do I know what type of visa corresponds to me depending on my country of origin?
Authorized Visas (VA-1):
It is requested by those countries that for immigration policy reasons require prior authorization from the National Directorate of Migration.
It is requested at the Consulate of Panama in your country or can be requested by an interested person who is a resident of Panama.

- Bosnia Herzegovina
- Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
Visa Suppression (ASV-4):
They have agreements with Panama.
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Stamped Visa (VE-2):
It does not require prior authorization but it must be requested before the Consul of Panama in the country.
It is always a tourist visa and the Consul decides the time to stay.
If the stay exceeds 30 days:
- Old and bearded
- Trinidad and Tobago
If the stay exceeds 90 days:
- Cayman Islands
- Virgin islands
- Puerto Rico
Likewise, those countries that can enter Panama with a stamped visa have two options:
- Apply for the visa at the Panamanian Consulate and arrive in Panama with the visa already stamped in your passport
- To buy Tourist Card (TT-3)
