  • The Ombudsman.
  • The president of the Central Reserve Bank.
  • The superintendent of banking, insurance and private administrators of the Pension Fund.
  • The Superintendent of Tax Administration (Sunat). The owners and executive members of the organizations and directors of companies that work for the State.

The only way for those mentioned to apply to the mayor’s office of some municipality, is that they must resign in charge 180 days before the date established for the holding of the elections.

  • The regional presidents and vice presidents are left with no possibility of running unless they resign from their position 120 days before the scheduled date for the mayoral elections.

Mayoral elections in Peru
