What are the Requirements to Assimilate to the PNP?
These are governed in accordance with the provisions of article 19 of the PNP Personnel Career and Situation Law (Leg. Dec. No. 1149) and its amendment agreed with article 18 of its Regulations.
Requirements:
- Be a maximum age (35) years, computed as of December 31, 2016, for applicants of civil origin who aspire to reach a vacancy for Services Officer.
- Minimum height men: 1.60 meters; Minimum size women: 1.50 meters. According to anthropological tables.
- Being Peruvian by birth (Simple affidavit format).
If you are a professional or technician and you want to apply as an assimilated to the PNP, you must follow the following process:
- Wait for the publication of the start of the contest with the Call for the Assimilation Process and which ends with publication of the Table of Merit.
- Pre-register on the dates designated by the institution.

General Requirements for Officers and NCOs
The PNP Sub-Officers Schools are the Alma Mater of your Institution at a Higher Technical level and offer young entrants a solid training that allows them to perform efficiently as PNP Sub-Officers.
The profile of officers who are trained at this institution is police officers with a higher university education level recognized by law, for a duration of 10 semesters (5 years).
It also provides you with the knowledge that will help you perform as a leading police officer in protection and security.
It is important that you know that the assimilation period for Officers and NCOs is two (2) years, at the end of which they are granted effectiveness in the grade, after evaluation and approval of the exams corresponding to the grade, otherwise it is canceled the asimilation.
Requirements:
- Be between 18 and 22 years of age, completed on December 31 of the year of the process.
- Being Peruvian by birth.
- Being single and not having children.
- Evidence of having completed secondary education.
- Comply with the minimum size: 1.67 m for men and 1.59 m for women.
- Do not record police, criminal or judicial records.
- Have the certificate of aptitude for medical evaluation issued by the Health Directorate of the PNP.
- Not having been temporarily separated or expelled from any secondary or higher education center or institution, or having been discharged due to disciplinary measure or psychophysical deficiency from any of the Armed Forces Training Schools or another academic unit of the National School of Police Professional Training (ENFPP).
Stages of the Admission Process:
- Pre-registration:
This can be done online, from the online admission process system (SIPROAD), or in person at the Admission Office of the PNP School of Officers, located on block 8 of Av. Civil Guard S/N – La Campiña, Chorrillos.
- Payment of the registration fee:
You must pay the fees indicated to you in the Banco de la Nación account.
- Exams:
- Medical exam
- physical fitness test
- personal interview exam
- Psychometric test
- Academic aptitude and knowledge test
The PNP Sub-Officer School Admissions Examination Process is a selection process among applicants whose physical, mental, intellectual and vocational capacity accredits their suitability for the training of the future Police Sub-Officer.
- Publication of process results:
It is done through the PNP website. There you can see the final average grades obtained by the applicants in the exams and who managed to enter. Remember that if you do not manage to reach a vacancy in the PNP Officers School, you have the option of joining the NCO Schools.
The officers and non-commissioned officers who manage to enter the institution will carry out the Police Adaptation Coursewhich is mandatory and its purpose is to facilitate the integration of personnel assimilated to the mystique, uses, customs, norms and principles, values and doctrine of the PNP in order to respond to criteria of adaptation and quality in their performance.
This course is taught during the first three (3) months of the assimilation period and is not an internship. Its approval constitutes a requirement to continue in the condition of assimilated.

Specific Requirements to Assimilate
Assimilation Process for both Officers and NCOs of PNP Services, is a contest among applicants in university and technical careers required by the Police Institution, to fill the vacancies assigned in each career.
The requirements are:
- have the corresponding age
- Meet the required height
- Be of Peruvian nationality
- Have height and weight indicated
- No police or criminal record
- Do not register sanctions for infractions.
For Duty Officers
The assimilation period is two (2) years, at the end of which, they are granted effectiveness in the degree, after evaluation and approval of the exams corresponding to the degree, otherwise the assimilation is cancelled.
Service officers who wish to assimilate into the PNP will need to meet the following requirements:
- Have a maximum age of (40) years, computed as of December 31, 2016, for applicants from the PNP or Peruvian Armed Forces who aspire to reach a vacancy as Service Officer.
- Minimum height men: 1.60 meters.
- Minimum size women: 1.50 meters.
- Being Peruvian by birth (Simple affidavit format).
- Have the indicated height and weight.
- Do not register police, criminal and judicial records of the Common Jurisdiction and the Military Police Jurisdiction. (Simple affidavit format attached to the applicant’s folder).
- Failure to register sanctions for serious or very serious infractions, for personnel from or who have belonged to the Peruvian National Police or the Peruvian Armed Forces, accredited with the respective certificate of the corresponding personnel unit.
For Service Petty Officers
Graduated technicians from higher institutes, with six (6) academic semesters, duly enrolled in the corresponding department of the Ministry of Education, in the specialties that the institution requires, are incorporated as Service Sub-Officers with the rank of Third Sub-Officer.
The Petty Officer who does not pass the corresponding exams to obtain effectiveness as a Service Officer, may return to the rank he held.
They must meet the following requirements:
- Technical degree approved by the Ministry of Education.
- Have a maximum age of (30) years computed as of December 31, 2016, for Non-Commissioned Officers of Services of civil origin.
- Have a maximum age of (40) years as of December 31 of the 2016 for Services NCOs from the Peruvian Armed Forces.
- For the assimilation as Services Sub-Officer of the driver and musician specialties, you must have completed high school studies and a minimum experience of three (3) years duly accredited.
Drivers must have a driver’s license for a larger vehicle and musicians must prove experience, after evaluation.
Documents to Assimilate
Officers and non-commissioned officers who wish to assimilate into the PNP must present a series of documents, which we detail below:
For Duty Officers
- University degree registered in the National Superintendency of Higher University Education (SUNEDU) former National Assembly of Rectors and collegiate, as appropriate, in which case it is assimilated with the rank of Captain.
For Service Petty Officers
- Have a technical title approved by the Ministry of Education.
Requirements for Health Professionals
- Have a maximum age of (40) years as of December 31, 2016, for applicants of civil origin who aspire to reach a vacancy as a Medical Services Officer with a second professional specialty, in the specialties required by the institution.
- Certification of having completed the SERUMS
The required documentation includes:
- Medical professionals who accredit a second specialty, registered with the National Superintendency of Higher University Education (SUNEDU) former – National Assembly of Rectors and collegiatewill be assimilated with the degree of Major, in the specialties required by the institution.
What is the salary in the PNP?
The salary table is as follows:
Health professionals are assimilated in the specialties that the institution requires, with the rank of Captain. If you completed the SERUMS you will receive the bonuses under Supreme Decree No. 005-97-sa-regulation of Law No. 23330 – marginal rural and urban health service.
Where should I go to assimilate into the PNP?
Registration will be done in person and centrally at the Central Admission Office, located at Av. Guardia Civil, block 8, Campiña Chorrillos (local of the PNP Officers School).
The Admission File must necessarily be downloaded from the PNP website .
When eliminated, you will return the applicant’s card at the time of collecting your file; misuse of this document leads to legal liability; Registration will be made only to applicants who meet the height and weight requirements.
