Passport format
If I have a passport, do I have to apply for a visa to enter other countries?
Every citizen who has a passport will be authorized to leave El Salvador and international boarding to any other country.
However, there are certain countries that request the so-called visa or visa, as a document added to the corresponding passport, in order to enter that country.
The visa or visa is an authorization printed in the passport that allows you to legally travel from one country to another, even if you do not have the nationality of that country or free entry is not allowed. Having a visa from the country you are going to enter shows that you have already been examined and approved to travel to that country.
The visa is issued by the Department of State through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Chancellery of the country to which it is requested. The official bodies in charge of processing and subsequently granting visas are generally the embassies and consulates.
To travel to Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua you can do it only with your Unique Identity Document (DUI) or only with your passport, you can choose with which of the two you will identify yourself for the immigration record.
