Residence is defined as the act of inhabiting or living for a certain time and in a certain place. It can happen in 3 ways:

  • Stay: When a foreigner remains in a country for a time that exceeds 90 days, for specific reasons (work, studies, family matters, tourism, among others)
  • Temporary residence: When the person is legally authorized to stay in a country, but not permanently, for a time exceeding 3 months, but not exceeding 5 years

  • Original + Copy of ID of the applicant.
  • 3 copies of thelegality of the certificate presented by the system, which must be accompanied by one of the following documents:
  • Original + photocopy of the RIF (Tax information record), once the tax domicile and the declared residence match.
  • Resident card issued by your respective community council, neighborhood association or condominium.
  • Original + copy of proof of payment related to any service (water, telephone, electricity, gas, cable, toilet, etc.) issued by the same applicant that certifies the residence, with a minimum of three months validity according to the date of the application.
